H.R578 - Iraqi Refugee and Internally Displaced Persons Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement, and Security Act of 2009. So another three plus billion dollars to Iraq, but no help for our small businesses here. Why are we building other nations when we can’t even build our own? We have people in Fresno, CA with no water, and it would cost 5 Million to build a hatchery for the Smelt, but no we have to make sure the Iraq refugees have water, but not our own farmers. What is even more troubling is look who oversees the proper disbursement of the money. None other than Mr. Obama. (d) Authorizations of Appropriations- (1) IN GENERAL- There is authorized to be appropriated $700,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2009, 2010, and 2011 to carry out this section. (B) COOPERATION AND MONITORING- In cooperation with the Government of Jordan, the President shall establish appropriate monitoring and transparency mechanisms to ensure that funds appropriated pursuant to the authorization of appropriations in subparagraph (A) are effectively administered.
